font-family: verdana, geneva;">The role is hybrid requiring 2 days a week in the Edinburgh office.</span></p> <br><strong>What You'll Do</strong><br><br><div><ul><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Design, implement, and operate highly available cloud infrastructure, ensuring 24×7 service reliability, performance, and scalability.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of cloud environments, with a strong focus on automation and operational excellence.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines within AWS environments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop and maintain automation and scripting solutions for deployment, configuration, and monitoring using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and production issues, minimizing downtime and leading effective root‑cause analysis.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ensure security, monitoring, and observability best practices, implementing alerting and system health tracking using Splunk and open‑source tools.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, product, DevOps, and security teams, while participating in on‑call rotations and optimizing database performance for scale and resilience.</span></li></ul></div> <br><strong>What You'll Bring</strong><br><br><ul><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Extensive experience in operations engineering or infrastructure management, supporting production systems in high‑availability, 24×7 environments.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Deep expertise in AWS cloud services, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, and operational best practices.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Considerable hands‑on experience with automation and orchestration tools, including Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Advanced scripting capability using Python and Bash to automate deployment, configuration, and operational workflows.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong background in cloud‑native technologies, including CI/CD pipelines, containerised applications, and Kubernetes‑based platforms.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Solid Linux administration experience, covering system configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and infrastructure support at scale, alongside database optimisation and configuration.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proven ability to design and operate secure, scalable, and reliable systems, with knowledge of cloud security best practices, strong problem‑solving skills, and demonstrated technical leadership or mentorship.</span></li></ul> <br><strong>Purple Perks</strong><br><br><ul><li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;
